Pioneering Excellence: Roaches International and the Autoclave Revolution at Memento Exclusives

Roaches X Memento

At Roaches International, our passion lies in being at the forefront of innovation, pushing boundaries, and enabling businesses to reach new heights. Whilst taking into account the importance of energy efficiency. Roaches designed their latest Autoclaves to be their most cost effective yet.

One such remarkable journey unfolded when we collaborated with Memento Exclusives, a global sports licensing business known for revolutionising the world of sports memorabilia through F1Authentics.com.

Memento Exclusives takes great pride in their in-house production and manufacturing capabilities, covering everything from framing and photography to their cutting-edge composites unit.

However, our shared commitment to continuous improvement led us to embark on a transformative venture marked by the introduction of the Autoclave – a true game-changer for Memento Exclusives.

Installed with precision and expertise by Roaches International Ltd, the Autoclave represents not just a piece of equipment but a pivotal moment in Memento Exclusives’ evolution.

It serves as a tangible marker of their growth and unwavering dedication to producing top-tier products and services.

So, what makes the Autoclave so groundbreaking? This state-of-the-art equipment is the crucible where composite materials undergo a metamorphic process involving both mechanical and chemical procedures.

Trapped air and volatiles are expertly expelled, and plies are consolidated under precise pressure. Heat cycles are then introduced, curing the resin systems and yielding flawlessly crafted components.

Terry Wasyliw, Memento Exclusives’ Head of Build, encapsulates the excitement surrounding this transformative addition. “This has been the most exciting addition to Memento Exclusives’ Composites Team as it’s a game-changer when it comes to developing what we do best – ‘Produce Show Cars to Formula 1 Standards’,” he remarks.

The Autoclave’s capability to cure large components brings unprecedented benefits, offering full control and facilitating a swift turnover of parts, ultimately ensuring the highest quality finish.

“At Memento Exclusives, we continue to keep an eye on new technologies and materials within the composites industry to see what we can do to improve our processes even further,” Terry explains. This dedication aligns seamlessly with Roaches International’s ethos of innovation and progress.

The Autoclave, a symbol of our collaborative success, represents Roaches International’s commitment to empowering businesses with cutting-edge solutions.

As we mark this achievement, join us in experiencing the innovative spirit that shapes Roaches International and Memento Exclusives, transforming the world of sports memorabilia.

Autumn 2022 Newsletter

Judy Woods, Bradford
Judy Woods, Bradford

Welcome to the inaugural Roaches International Newsletter. Our hope is to provide some insights to the team, the business, technical developments, new releases and anything thing else we feel is interesting for you to know. This is a new project for Roaches where positive criticism or requests for content is encouraged to help us  improve for future publications. We hope that you enjoy reading!

Sean O'Neill (Managing Director)

Message from the MD

“Having set up Advanced Dyeing Solutions Ltd in 2001 following the closure of Longclose Group Ltd, now 21 years on and the only original member. This has probably been the most challenging period since our formation, from both a personal and business viewpoint.”

“Who would ever have thought that Covid would have had such an impact on all of us in every area of our lives.  And now half way through 2022, more than 2 years after it first raised it’s ugly head, things are only just returning to ‘normal’.
The end of Covid has meant that manufacturing in almost all areas has been busy, which along with reduced global production, logistic problems and raw material supply issues, this has led to a large increase in raw materials and component costs.
Looking forward, things look challenging, but we know that with your continued support, we will do our best to minimize price increases as much as possible and work with you to continue to grow our businesses together and further develop relationships with our partners.”
Sean O’Neill (Managing Director)

Meet the team

James Deakin (Production Manager)

"I joined Roaches 6 years ago, after a year of college, to begin a 4 yearlong apprenticeship in electrical engineering. Over the years I have worked alongside my colleagues here to progress to the role of Production Manager where I oversee the day to day work load of our workshop ensuring orders are filled and standards are maintained.

I also have a small hand in aiding with the development of our machines, analysing them throughout the build process to pick up any potential improvements we could make to ensure our products are as user friendly as possible while staying true to the look and feel of a Roaches machine.

Outside of work I mainly play games on my computer or occasionally spend time with my mates in the local pubs where I live."

James Deakin (Production Manager)

Meet the team

Richard Kirkbright (General Manager)

"I have been with Roaches for less than a year. I was recruited to help the company realise more of its potential. My background has been working in the IT/print management area. A variety of roles from sale to management and consulting. I have had the privilege of working for some fantastic companies and my roles have allowed me to partner with a wide range of businesses.

The insight I gained from my experiences has allowed me to identify areas of Roaches which would benefit from some attention. This will help us have a better relationship with our customers. Already Roaches have invested in me to attend Leeds University on a business management course which is helping me better communicate across the business and to form long term strategies for Roaches growth.

When I am not in work I enjoy following F1. I try and attend a race at least once a year. I am in awe of Lewis Hamilton achievements as one of the most successful drivers of all time. The rest of my time is spent with my family and friends."

Richard Kirkbright (General Manager)

Meet the team

David Buxton (Sales Director)

"I am working for Roaches International as Sales Director and have been a member of the team from July 2017. My career as always been within the textile/apparel sector but carrying out many different roles; from Dyer, Testing Technician, Testing Laboratory auditor/training, Fabric Technologist, Dye Department Manager, I was even a qualified Provisional SA8000 (CSR) auditor, and now I am equipment Sales.

This broad range of experience has provided a priceless opportunity to travel extensively around the World and live and work in three different countries, Morocco, Turkey and lastly Sri Lanka. Now back home in the UK, I live with my partner Sandra, our 11-year-old son Declan (who was born in Sri Lanka) and our dog Rosie. For relaxation, when you find some time with an 11-year-old, I enjoy reading, cooking (especially South Asia dishes) and watching sport.

I am looking forward to our continued working relationship and building Roaches International into a global power-house for Textile testing instruments and laboratory Dyeing equipment. Good luck for 2022!

David Buxton (Sales Director)
